Q: What is the difference between Normal and Superlite editions?
Both editions are fully debloated (unnecessary UWP apps and useless background services removed). The primary difference lies in the core system components:
- Normal Edition: Keeps core system files intact (including the WinSxS folder and default Windows fonts). Extremely lightweight while retaining full support for Windows Update.
- Superlite Edition: Drastically cuts disk footprint by removing non-essential fonts and COMPLETELY REMOVING the WinSxS folder (Component Store) for minimal RAM usage and maximum gaming throughput.
Critical Warning for Superlite Users
Can I use Windows Update on Superlite?
NO. Because the WinSxS folder is removed, Windows Update cannot function. Even if forced on via tweak tools, the system will error out due to missing component files. If you require future updates, use the Normal Edition.
Q: Can I re-enable disabled features later?
Some can, some cannot - depending on how deep the modification is and which edition you choose. Features provided in the setup installer options are easier to toggle later. Core system components are difficult or impossible to restore. Choose wisely before downloading.
Q: Which edition should I choose?
- Choose Normal Edition if: You want a clean, fast Windows without bloatware, but still want the freedom to install Windows Updates in the future.
- Choose Superlite Edition if: You have low-end hardware, very limited disk storage, want maximum competitive FPS, and are 100% CERTAIN you will never update Windows.
